Welcome to your The Women that Shaped us sessions.
A portrait experience for the stories that live between you.
Most of us have photographs together.
But very few that truly reflect who we are to each other.
Women That Shaped Us is designed to create images that feel real, images that hold your dynamic, your history, your tenderness, your strength.
The conversation is simply the doorway.
This isn’t a traditional photoshoot. It’s a 30-minute guided conversation, softly documented, with thoughtful prompts designed to spark reflection, connection, and real moments. There’s no script, no pressure, no performance, just space for laughter, silence, reflection, and tenderness.
Location
We’ll meet in the gorgeous Greenhouse at Babylon Eco Centre. You’ll sit at a table with a bench, a comfortable, intimate setup that invites connection. When you arrive, order a drink and come straight to the Greenhouse, I’ll be there waiting for you.
Time
Your session is planned for about 30 minutes, but I have built-in buffer time, so please don’t worry about the clock. These moments naturally unfold, and it’s absolutely fine if the conversation takes a little longer. The focus is on connection, not timing.
What to Wear
Your wardrobe should feel comfortable, natural, and reflective of who you are and the message you want to communicate. Think about pieces that make you feel confident and professional but still like yourself. Simple, timeless clothing keeps the focus on you and your story, not on distracting patterns or bright logos.
A few tips to help you get started:
Wear something that feels like you. When you’re comfortable, it shows beautifully in your images.
Coordinate colors and textures rather than matching exactly.
Avoid logos, text, and fluorescent colors that can distract from the story you’re telling.
Layers work beautifully, they add texture and movement and are great for adapting to different settings or lighting.
Soft, muted tones and neutral colors often translate beautifully on camera, but the most important thing is that you feel confident and authentic.
Day Of The Session:
If possible, arrive about 15 minutes early. Park at the main car park and order your drinks at the café, just ask them to put it on my tab. Then come down to the Greenhouse and settle in. I’ll explain how everything works, and then you can forget all about me. This is your precious time together, your space to talk, listen, reflect, and share.
I’ll quietly document the moments as they naturally unfold, the glances, the pauses, the laughter, and the emotion. The conversation is simply the doorway; the images capture the real, raw story between you and your loved one.
