Quiet Motherhood

Quiet Motherhood sessions are for women who want to mark a season of motherhood with honesty and care.

These sessions include maternity, newborn, and mum & babe portraits, photographed in a calm, child-led way that values connection over performance.

Motherhood moves quickly,  often before we realise it. These sessions are an invitation to pause and notice the small, meaningful moments that make up this season: the closeness, the tenderness, the way you hold and are held. To step out of the rush and allow this chapter, and these connections, to be seen and celebrated.

This is a slow, grounded experience shaped by presence and relationship. Moments are allowed to unfold naturally, with gentle guidance offered when needed.

If you’re looking for a way to document motherhood that feels intentional, calm, and true to your life,  a quiet record of a season that passes all too quickly, this is for you.

Fresh 48h Newborn Sessions
I also offer Fresh 48h sessions, capturing those first precious moments within the first two days after birth. These sessions are flexible and on-call, so I can be there shortly after your baby arrives.

  • All Quiet Motherhood sessions are held within a 60 minute window. This is a guide rather than a limit, with flexibility built in to respond to the needs of the mother and baby. We move at a gentle pace, allowing time for pauses, settling, or finishing early if that’s what’s needed.

    Maternity
    Maternity sessions are photographed with softness and ease, allowing space to move, rest, and settle into the moment. I usually recommend scheduling these between 28–34 weeks of pregnancy.

    Newborn
    Newborn sessions are completely child-led, with time for feeding, settling, and pauses as needed. The session follows your baby rather than a fixed plan.

    Mum & Babe
    Mum & babe sessions centre on closeness and connection, guided by the needs of both mother and baby rather than expectations or performance.

  • You’re welcome to a quick call before your session. This time can be used to talk through location, time of day, any questions you might have, and what you are expecting from the session.

  • Once your session is booked, you’ll receive a link to a private page on my website. There you’ll find everything you need to feel prepared and at ease before we meet - including what to expect from the session, a short questionnaire, and the terms & conditions.

    You’ll also find gentle guidance on choosing what to wear. I will never suggest matching outfits; instead, complementary colours and textures work beautifully. Most importantly, choose clothes that feel comfortable and feel like you!

  • Each session is edited with care and intention. My approach responds to what the session calls for rather than following a fixed formula. You can explore my portfolio to get a sense of my visual language and approach.

  • After your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery containing all edited images (usually 40–60 photographs). From this gallery, you may select ten high-resolution images, which are included in the session fee. You’ll also have the option to upgrade to the full gallery for £180.

Quiet Portrait Sessions are for women who want photographs that feel honest rather than performed. For those in seasons of transition, reflection, or gentle transformation. You don’t need confidence or clarity, or even a clear reason beyond the quiet knowing that this matters.

Being seen with care can be a healing act.
To let yourself be present.
To take up space without expectation.

For women who run businesses, this space can also hold your work.
These sessions may gently become branding portraits,  images that reflect not just what you offer, but who you are behind it. A way to tell your story, to align your presence with your values.

This isn’t about creating a polished version of family life. There’s no need to manage every moment or anticipate how things should unfold.

When you choose to celebrate more than one beautiful chapter, like maternity and newborn, or any combination of my sessions - you’ll receive 10% off your total experience. Do let me know when booking!


Prices apply within a 20-mile radius of Forest Row. Additional travel charges may apply beyond this area and will be agreed in advance. A £100 booking fee is required to secure your session date. The session is only confirmed once this fee has been received. Booking fees are non-refundable.
